About us

So what goes on in our Shed

Generally Men’s Sheds are run by their members, known as Shedders. Ours elect a board of trusties to manage the charity and a small committee to deal with the daily administration and management of the Shed.

Ideas and suggestions for activities are put forward by the Shedders for the committee to approve, if resources can be provided.

We have a well-equipped workshop where Shedders can work on things either for themselves, for the Shed to raise money, or on a community project.

Heath and Safety is paramount and training on the more powerful and dangerous items of machinery is given. Every Shedder must be passed competent before being allowed to use them.

If woodwork is not your thing we have 2 morning art groups.

Tuesday is for those already proficient and a Wednesday morning is for those who either want to learn or hone up the existing skills

On Thursday afternoons some of our Shedders enjoy each other's company playing crib.
We mention just coming to the Shed for a chat, cuppa and a biscuit, which you can do anytime, but we have one dedicated morning on a Friday where most things are up for discussion.
Visits to places of interest are also arranged by the Shedders themselves.
